Chloe Ayonon & Zaylee Doi-Desmarais
Our story
Our friendship began at dance class when we were four years old, both moving to the same BEAT…and we have been best friends ever since! At the age of 6, Chloe was diagnosed with a heart defect and later the same year Zaylee was diagnosed with epilepsy. Although we experienced health challenges, we did not let these diagnoses define us – the BEAT went on. 2020 has brought new challenges for many, and it seems like the world as we know it has paused.
We were out of school and were isolated from friends and family. Uncertainty has been the new norm. We realize that we will continue to face obstacles in life, but one thing is certain: while the rhythm changes, the BEAT never stops. We keep moving and growing, so we used this time to create something we are passionate about.
BEAT Athletica represents forward motion – the greater the challenge, the faster the BEAT.
